
For the 3rd edition of the KAMIRA PHOTO AWARD, 4 different Prizes will once again be awarded by a jury of professionals from the world of Photography.
The winners' work will be presented at the TALMART gallery in Paris during the Paris Photo photography event in the fall of 2026, with the production of their exhibition (prints and framing) being handled by the prize organization.
The official award ceremony will take place during the exhibition in Paris in the fall of 2026, in the presence of members of the jury and personalities from the world of photography, collectors and representatives of the general and specialized press.
The winners will appear in the specific communication organized around the competition prizes.
The competition is open to professional or amateur photographers , of all nationalities , aged 18 or over .
Applications can only be submitted online . Registration is open from January 20th to March 5th, 2026. The theme is free, photos can be in black and white or in color.
Each candidate must provide 1 to 10 photographs taken or published, a short biography, an artist statement and pay the registration fee of 39 euros.
The jury will meet in the first week of Avril 2026 and the selected candidates will be informed individually no later than the end of May 2025. They will have to provide high definition files of their photographs. Candidates who do not provide the requested information will be disqualified.

THEMATIC
The theme is free. The photos can be in
black and white or in color.
REGISTRATION FEES
The registration fee is €39. Payment can be made online via Stripe, PayPal and credit card. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Each applicant may provide up to 10 photos, a short biography and an artist statement. Applicants failing to provide the requested information will be disqualified.
COPYRIGHT
Entrants retain permanent copyright in all their photographs. Entrants whose entries are accepted grant KAMIRA the right to use their photographs for promotional purposes related to the exhibition, including publication in media coverage of the event, display on the Kamira website, and use in all associated communications materials. If their work is selected for the exhibition, they undertake to ensure that the selected photographs do not infringe the rights of any third party and accept full responsibility for this.

2025 JURY

Dimitri Beck
Dimitri Beck is the director of photography at Polka (magazine, gallery, and factory), which he co-founded alongside the Genestar family in 2008. Previously, he was the editor-in-chief of Webistan, Reza's photo agency, in Paris. Dimitri began his career as a freelance journalist in 1998, frequently working in Central Asia and the Caucasus. As a journalist, he regularly participates in conferences on visual storytelling and teaches at the journalism department of Sciences Po Paris and at the Spéos Photography School.

Laura Serani
Laura Serani, curator and author, directed the Planches Contact Festival in Deauville (2019-2024) and co-directed the Bamako Encounters (2009-2014). She was also the artistic delegate for the Mois de la Photo in Paris and a curator for Fotografia Europea and SiFest in Italy. Formerly head of the Fnac Collection and Fnac Photography Galleries (1985-2006), she has published numerous works on photography. As a teacher and mentor, she serves on various prestigious juries, including Hasselblad, Leica Oskar Barnack, Niepce, and World Press.

Lucie Moriceau Chastagner
Lucie Moriceau-Chastagner, documentary studies officer, is responsible for the photography collection at the Musée de l'Armée. Former curator at ECPAD (2008-2021), she studies the history of military photography. Curator of major exhibitions, including Photographies en guerre (2022) and Léon Herschtritt (2023-2024), she has been leading the museum's photography residency since 2022 and sits on several award juries.

Raed Bawayah
Raed Bawayah, born in Ramallah, is a Palestinian photographer living in Paris.
Trained at the Musrara School of Photography in Jerusalem, Raed has exhibited in prestigious venues such as the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, and has taken part in major events such as the Visa pour l’image festival in Perpignan and the Rencontres de la photographie d’Arles, where he presented a series of photographs of patients at Bethlehem psychiatric hospital as part of the Discovery Prize in 2009.Founder of many photographic events such La Quatrième Image, Vienna International Photo Award and others.

Marie Robert
Marie Robert is Chief Curator of Photography and Cinema at the Musée d’Orsay. A former student of the École normale supérieure and agrégée in economics and social sciences, she led the photography department at the Médiathèque du patrimoine before joining the Musée d’Orsay in 2011. She has curated around twenty exhibitions combining social sciences and interdisciplinarity, teaches photography history through a gender lens, and co-directs A Global History of Women Photographers (2020). She serves on boards of multiple institutions, sits on international juries, and in 2023, she was in residence at the Villa Medici to build a collection on the private uses of photography.

Krzysztof Candrowicz
Krzysztof Candrowicz is an interdisciplinary curator, sociologist, and activist. He co-founded the Fotofestiwal and the Foundation of Visual Education in Łódź, directed Art Factory and the Lodz Art Center, and from 2013 to 2018, served as Artistic Director of the Hamburg Photography Triennale. He was guest curator of the Ci.CLO Biennale in Porto (2018–2024) and frequently lectures and curates at European institutions. A member of international juries, he explores photography, visual art, and activism in connection with social and environmental justice.
