
For the 2nd edition of the KAMIRA PHOTO AWARD, 4 different Prizes will once again be awarded by a jury of professionals from the world of Photography.
The winners' work will be presented at the TALMART gallery in Paris during the Paris Photo photography event in the fall of 2025, with the production of their exhibition (prints and framing) being handled by the prize organization.
The official award ceremony will take place during the exhibition in Paris in the fall of 2025, in the presence of members of the jury and personalities from the world of photography, collectors and representatives of the general and specialized press.
The winners will appear in the specific communication organized around the competition prizes.
The competition is open to professional or amateur photographers , of all nationalities , aged 18 or over .
Applications can only be submitted online . Registration is open from March 06 to April 25, 2025. The theme is free, photos can be in black and white or in color.
Each candidate must provide 1 to 10 photographs taken or published, a short biography, an artist statement and pay the registration fee of 35 euros.
The jury will meet in the first week of May 2025 and the selected candidates will be informed individually no later than the end of May 2025. They will have to provide high definition files of their photographs. Candidates who do not provide the requested information will be disqualified.

QUALIFICATIONS
The competition is open to both professional and amateur photographers of all nationalities, aged 18 and over.
THEMATIC
The theme is free. The photos can be in
black and white or in color.
REGISTRATION FEES
The registration fee is €35. Payment can be made online via Stripe, PayPal and credit card. The registration fee is non-refundable.

The competition is open to photographers:

Each applicant may provide up to 10 photos, a short biography and an artist statement. Applicants failing to provide the requested information will be disqualified.
COPYRIGHT
Entrants retain permanent copyright in all their photographs. Entrants whose entries are accepted grant KAMIRA the right to use their photographs for promotional purposes related to the exhibition, including publication in media coverage of the event, display on the Kamira website, and use in all associated communications materials. If their work is selected for the exhibition, they undertake to ensure that the selected photographs do not infringe the rights of any third party and accept full responsibility for this.

The Prizes
1st Prize
The first winner will receive a grant of €1,500 in recognition of his talent and work. In addition to this financial reward, he will have the opportunity to exhibit his works at the winners' exhibition to be held in Paris in November, thus offering unique visibility to the public and professionals in the world of photography.
2nd Prize
The second laureate will receive a €1,000 grant in recognition of their talent and work. In addition to this financial award, they will have the opportunity to exhibit their artworks at the winners' exhibition in Paris in November, offering unique visibility to the public and photography professionals.
3rd Prize
The third laureate will receive a €500 grant in recognition of their work and will have the opportunity to exhibit their artworks at the winners' exhibition in Paris in November, offering unique visibility to the public and photography professionals.
Shortlist
The jury will select a shortlist of 15 photographers, whose work will be showcased at the KAMIRA PHOTO AWARD exhibition in Paris. Alongside the laureates, these artists will gain exceptional visibility, offering the public and professionals an insight into the diversity and richness of their photographic approach.
2025 JURY

Dimitri Beck
Dimitri Beck is the director of photography at Polka (magazine, gallery, and factory), which he co-founded alongside the Genestar family in 2008. Previously, he was the editor-in-chief of Webistan, Reza's photo agency, in Paris. Dimitri began his career as a freelance journalist in 1998, frequently working in Central Asia and the Caucasus. As a journalist, he regularly participates in conferences on visual storytelling and teaches at the journalism department of Sciences Po Paris and at the Spéos Photography School.

Laura Serani
Laura Serani, curator and author, directed the Planches Contact Festival in Deauville (2019-2024) and co-directed the Bamako Encounters (2009-2014). She was also the artistic delegate for the Mois de la Photo in Paris and a curator for Fotografia Europea and SiFest in Italy. Formerly head of the Fnac Collection and Fnac Photography Galleries (1985-2006), she has published numerous works on photography. As a teacher and mentor, she serves on various prestigious juries, including Hasselblad, Leica Oskar Barnack, Niepce, and World Press.

Lucie Moriceau Chastagner
Lucie Moriceau-Chastagner, documentary studies officer, is responsible for the photography collection at the Musée de l'Armée. Former curator at ECPAD (2008-2021), she studies the history of military photography. Curator of major exhibitions, including Photographies en guerre (2022) and Léon Herschtritt (2023-2024), she has been leading the museum's photography residency since 2022 and sits on several award juries.

Raed Bawayah
Raed Bawayah, born in Ramallah, is a Palestinian photographer living in Paris.
Trained at the Musrara School of Photography in Jerusalem, Raed has exhibited in prestigious venues such as the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, and has taken part in major events such as the Visa pour l’image festival in Perpignan and the Rencontres de la photographie d’Arles, where he presented a series of photographs of patients at Bethlehem psychiatric hospital as part of the Discovery Prize in 2009.Founder of many photographic events such La Quatrième Image, Vienna International Photo Award and others.

Pavlos Fysakis
Pavlos Fysakis, an Athens-based artist, explores themes of borders, memory, and transformation through photography. Founder of KOLEKTIV8 and the Depression Era collective (2011-2019), he documented the Greek crisis. He has directed the MedPhoto Festival in Crete since 2016 and has published Land Ends (2010) and Documents of Breathing (2023). His work has been exhibited in Greece and internationally and is part of several prestigious collections.

Yossi Milo
Founder and owner of Yossi Milo Gallery , is supporting, and representing artists from around the world. Initially established as a premier photography gallery, it expanded its program in 2018 to embrace a diverse range of artistic media. In 2012, the gallery moved to its current space at 245 10th Avenue, reflecting its evolving and ambitious vision.
Over the years, Yossi Milo has presented groundbreaking exhibitions by renowned artists such as Kohei Yoshiyuki, Pieter Hugo, Linus Borgo, Alina Perez, Alison Rossiter, and Cameron Welch.The gallery represents the estates of influential photographers Ezra Stoller (1915–2004) and Tim Hetherington (1970–2011), preserving and promoting their legacies. Through its dynamic exhibitions and curatorial initiatives, Yossi Milo continues to be a leading force in the global art scene.
