Daniel Kobert
Daniel Kobert (b. 1998, Russia) is an emerging photographer based in Paris, specializing in documentary and conceptual photography. His work navigates the boundaries between perception and reality, using abstraction and poetic visual storytelling to evoke emotional depth. With a background in photojournalism and fine art, he is a graduate of the Magnum x Spéos Creative Documentary & Photojournalism Program.
Kobert’s work has been exhibited internationally — in France, the U.S., China, Greece, and Russia — and featured in publications such as ISO Magazine, LensCulture, and Republic. He is a recipient of several awards, including multiple Silver Medals at the Black and White Photo Awards and nominations from the International Photography Awards (IPA) and Foam Paul Huf Award. He currently lives and works in Paris.

Artist statement
I fear illustrative photography because it would then be incapable of existing without me. And yet, feelings outlast their bearer. Photography, therefore, must outlive its creator, as feelings are the foundation of what I call photography.
