Présentation de l'artiste

Daniele Mele

Daniele Mele is an Italian photographer, born in 1990 in South Italy.

He began exploring photography as a child, driven by curiosity and a playful spirit. At the age of twenty, he pursued formal studies, focusing on storytelling and delving into its visual language.

His work explores the human condition, in search of authenticity and truth. He investigates what makes everyday life unique — both in moments of connection and in personal solitude.

Artist statement

Spleen stems from the need to explore the hidden aspects of ourselves and reflect on what emerges from confronting our own solitude. The work creates an intimate space in which to confront one’s vulnerabilities and the fragility of existence.

It unfolds between the need for belonging and the constant urge to escape, delving into the inner void and our longing to make sense of it.

Drawing from everyday life, the work becomes an unfiltered testimony—like a personal diary that gives shape and meaning to what is often left unsaid.
