Elena Mendoza
Elena Mendoza, born on July 23, 1996, in Murcia, Spain, is a
photographer specializing in artistic and editorial portraiture. Her
recurring themes explore culture, migration, and womanhood, with a
profound focus on the human condition. Elena studied at the University
of Alicante, where she earned a BSc (2014-2018), and after completing
her studies, she moved to England. Recognizing creative opportunities
in the UK, she decided to professionalize her greatest passion,
photography, and relocated to Scotland to pursue a BA (Hons) in
Professional Photography, specializing in portraiture (2022-2025).
She finds fulfilment in exploring life through connection and
capturing others.
Her passion and dedication led her to be shortlisted with two of her
portraits in the prestigious Portrait of Britain competition. Two of
her images were published in Volume 7 of the Portrait of Britain book,
with one of them being a winner that was exhibited nationwide across
the UK on JCDecaux digital screens. She has also participated in
several group exhibitions in Edinburgh and published a few zines in
collaboration with ArtInMustard.
