KetoMa

KetoMa is a contemporary photographer working across artistic, commercial, and fashion photography. She holds formal education from the New York Institute of Photography (NYIP) , where she developed a strong technical foundation alongside a concept-driven visual practice.
Her work explores the intersection of narrative, emotion, and visual transformation, focusing on individuality and the poetic potential of the photographic image. Through a refined balance of craftsmanship and artistic experimentation, KetoMa creates images that move beyond documentation toward expressive, painterly compositions.

Artist statement

Ketoma’s artistic practice redefines photography as a medium of transformation rather than documentation. While the camera captures the initial moment, the work truly unfolds during post-production— a vital stage where atmosphere, memory, and emotion are actively shaped.By fading color, altering tone, and amplifying painterly textures, Ketoma distances her work from traditional literal photography. This conceptual approach culminates in her choice of printing materials, utilizing non-traditional papers as an experimental tool. The unique textures of these surfaces work in tandem with the visuals—at times intensifying the image, at others gently lightening it. By "softening photographic certainty," she creates fragile, open-ended narratives that invite viewers into a deeply meditative engagement with time, matter, and perception.
