Présentation de l'artiste
NANCY ANDRITSOPOULOU
My name is Nancy Andritsopoulou.
I was born and I live in Athens-Greece.
I remember being fascinated by the photography world since I was a child, when I picked up my father's camera. Thus, photography is in my life for as long as I can remember.
I started as a self-taught photographer but my love for the medium made me a lifelong student.
I have studied photography and portrait classes and I have participated in numerous international photography contests and excibitions.
I am an active member of the Greek Photographic Society and the "Moments Collective" photography group with whom I have organized and managed several conceptual workshops.
I particularly love conceptual photography because it allows me to show the world everything I want through my own perspective.

Artist statement
I present to you the story of my family.
This journey begings with the sudden loss of my brother, my fathers's inability to cope with his absence, the departure of my mother, a strong and decisive presence.
Each photo is a piece of this story.
A path marked by path and love.
The unberable continuity of the lives of those left behind...Those who have tried through the pain to find the strength to carry on.
Loss is not just a void but a constant reflection of all those who have paved my path.
It is a personal journey through the memories of my family, those I have lost, but who never ceased to influence me.
This project is my own attempt to reconcile with my past, to find peace and honor those who have gone.
It is my Catharsis.
